After a lot of searching and work behind the scenes, Sid (our County Commissioner and has been acting District Commissioner) and I are delighted to be able to announce that we have a new Team District Commissioner in place for The Malverns. Everything has been agreed, and the changes will be added to Compass in the very near future.

Our new Team DC are:

• Ben Johnstone – also GSL 2nd Malvern and a District Trustee
• Paul Boniface – also GSL 1st Leigh and a District Trustee

We wish them both very well in their additional new roles – but it will take a while for them to be fully up to speed, so please join with us in doing everything that you can to help and support them through this transition.

The basic plan is that:

• Paul will support Groups to the west and north of the District (1^st Ledbury, 1^st Bosbury, 1^st Cradley, 1^st Colwall & 1^st Leigh) + Squirrels, Cubs and Scouts
• Ben will support Groups to the east and south of the District (1^st Upton, 1^st Malvern Wells, 1^st Malvern, 2^nd Malvern, 1^st Malvern Link & 7^th Malvern) + Beavers and County
• Both will work with Adrian to support Explorers and The District Trustees.

This is great news for The Malverns District enabling us to move forwards and I’d like to add my personal thanks to both Paula and Ben.
