Active Support

Scout Active Support allows people to give their time to Scouting on a flexible basis. People can still be involved in Scouting without the full-time commitment of being a leader.

Scout Active Support is for anyone over the age of 18 years. It is a way for adults to volunteer time to Scouting in a flexible way that suits them.

There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before joining. All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Scouting.

The Malverns Active Support Units exists to help support the District. Amongst other things, The Malvern Active Support Unit run the District camp site at Warren Oak where they carry out the maintenance and upkeep of the site and also improvements to the site. Some recent work they have done include a complete refurbishment of the shower and toilet facilities in the accommodation building. They have also refitted a new kitchen in the same building and have repainted the onsite toilet block. Other improvements at Warren Oak have included a new workshop and storage area. They also deal with bookings and visitors to the site.

The Malverns Active Support Unit also help with District events as and when required.

We’d like to have more members so that they would be able to do more for the District. Do you feel like possibly getting involved with us and helping Scouting in the District? If so, please fill out the contract form or email us and we will be in touch. You can find all of the contacts on the contact us page of this website.
