Leigh Scouts Restart
On Friday 14th August 2020, 1st Leigh Scouts restarted following the change of status from Red to Amber following the COVID-19 lock down. As per their Return to Scouting risk assessment the whole programme was outside in a field adjacent to their Headquarters.
The evening went well with very positive comments off the parents and young people. A special night for Jack Sandy as he was presented with his Chief Scout Gold Award which he managed to complete during lockdown including sending a letter to the Queen and receiving a reply ! Everybody involved adapted quickly to the measures and protocols in place and we’re looking forward to the coming weeks.
